Hi! I’m Michael

I create art and websites. I grew up in Northfield, Minnesota and am now living in Taos, New Mexico. I like to keep track of the latest web design standards and best practices. I’ve been working with the web since 1997. Technology is amazing and I’m a believer in making it work for you.

My home office is powered by the sun! I’m a supporter of renewable energy and in making steps to become more energy self sufficient. When not on the computer, I research and practice natural building . Playing with mud is one of my favorite pass times… you can learn more about that at my blog I Love Cob!

Experience

Creating solutions is what I do. Working with people in dynamic and creative ways is largely what web design is about for me. I have worked with artists, churches, associations, and small business creating web solutions. I have training in web design and multimedia and continue my education through industry magazines, classes and experimentation.

Tools

I work primarily with open source content management systems; as they easily allow for owner editable content. Free software that is continuously improving can power everything from a simple blog to large media campaign. I specialize in the leading open source platform WordPress.
